Those forget-me-not plates are so pretty! I really like the way you put the blues together on this tablescape. I wouldn't have thought of it and they look wonderful together. I have the same napkins and now feel like I will get much more use than I originally thought. Thank you for the inspiration.

Joan, the different blue hues make really an amazing patriotic table. So nice for your specail occasioan. I have never seen an ice-cream-form before but it looks nice and I can imagine how usefull it is. The pattern of the flatware is awesome und the china is lovely. And the napkin with those rings are great.

Your friend had to have been delighted with this pretty table setting for her retirement celebration. I love the combination of Queen Anne's Lace and the blue weed. Both look so pretty in the white pitcher.

What fortunate friends to be some beautifully treated. I love the Queen Anne's Lace and Chicory. I remember seeing them all about the Virginia countryside. My mother referred to the Chicory as "blue weed" so it must be a Virginia "thing". I can't recall how I found out the name of the plant. She also referred to the Q.A. Lace as "wild carrot".

I like the fresh, clean, traditional look of this table. You definitely incorporated the 4th with the wonderful star napkins and napkin rings. The cool blues you're using have a definite calming effect, and they complement the wood tones of the tabletop perfectly! Very nicely done!
