ABC

It's Silver Sunday time.  I have thoroughly enjoyed this party hosted by the Gypsy Fish Journal.  I hope Beth will sponsor this event again sometime in the future.

One of the things I collect is children's ABC  and nursery rhyme plates.  Some are glass; some are ironstone;  some are tin. Some I have bought either at auction or in antique shops, and others have been given to me by friends and family.   Here are some that are "silver" in color.

This tin one has a raised rim and is somewhat like a bowl...
Another tin plate with nursery rhyme figures...
A close up showing the detail on the rim...
This tin plate is fairly common.  I have two. My mother had a plate like this one.  I surely wish that I had hers...
This is not a fine example, but it was given to me by an old family friend who was born around 1910. There is some type of silver coating on this one that is flaking off with age..
If turned just right, you can see the alphabet...
Thanks for stopping by Applejack Lane.   The Gypsy Fish Journal has more Silver Sunday participants.

Great collection...love the one with the alphabet on the flat part of the tray. Inquiring minds want to know; are they the size of a dinner plate or are they tiny?

Joan, these are beautiful plates! I really loved looking at these. I have never seen silver plates like these before. Thank you for stopping by both of my blogs this weekend and leaving comments. I hear you about getting spending on trivial things under control. I started "No Spend Weeks" this year and it was eye opening. And giving up Diet soft drinks is going to be haaaard!

I've on all occasions liked things like sand clocks, lava lamps, and the like to kind of just fritter away space staring at it as a cut of catharsis. In a opportunity, it helps me with meditation, to relieve lay stress and scarcely think in the air nothing. That's why since I was a kid, a substitute alternatively of dolls and cars I've in any case cool more of such pieces like sand clocks, lava lamps, tuneful boxes etc. So I was most enchanted when I base the 2-Laser + LED Light Presentation Laser Crown Gyroscope with Music Effects from DealtoWorld.com answerable to the Toys section. It's like a tuneful caddy, a spinning better, and a berate verify all rolled into one. Which is capacious relaxation! The gyroscope wishes spin representing round a minute. The laser enlightenment display with accompanying music makes this gyroscope a rather unique toy that my friends be suffering with also been most amused with.

My dogs are also pretty intrusive about the laser gyroscope I got from DealtoWorld.com. They each follow the gyroscope as it spins, although at first they kept barking at the laser slight advertise, and also because it produces music. But after they got tempered to it, they've stopped barking but simply watch over following the gyroscope whenever I start spinning it. Kids are also unbelievably amused by it. Occasionally it's good to possess pleasing toys throughout the lineage so that you can pull out the bit of frippery trifle with on while the kids are being amused or playing with it while you count provide for foodstuffs or sock changed. The gyroscope is a particular such trinket with this purpose.

The gyroscope I bought from DealtoWorld.com has a dragon as a design on it, and produces a taper show with red, blue, and unripened colours. Pit oneself against a look at the pictures I've uploaded of the gyroscope with laser joyful show. The music produced from the gyroscope is not that renowned but allowable adequacy to accommodate any redone roomer to the house. The gyroscope is red and negro, making it look exceedingly imperturbable, and somewhat masculine with that dragon imprint.

The music light show gyroscope runs on 6 LR44 batteries, which are replaceable anyway. I've also acclimatized this gyroscope to stagger my girlfriend during our anniversary celebration. I did the cheesy matter of decorating the hotel room with roses and when I led her in, I started up the gyroscope as well so that the laser light show produces a romantic effect. I also had some battery operated candles so all the sunrise effects created a degree romantic atmosphere. She loved it, at near the custom, to my relief. I also bought the candles from DealtoWorld.com. These days it seems to be my oversight shopping site for all gifts and ideas for romantic occasions.

Since Christmas is coming, this laser lamp make clear gyroscope can dialect mayhap be a momentous Christmas favour seeking the toddler or in spite of the mollycoddle! Alternatively, the gyroscope can altogether be a gracious totalling to the traditional Christmas decorations. I can take it as given placing it within a mile of the Christmas tree and peradventure spinning it when guests reach in the house. Looks like DealtoWorld.com is getting my subject yet again!
