Sunday Favorites

I am joining Sunday Favorites today.  This was originally posted exactly one year ago.  It my "stroll through memory lane."

I am back at Applejack Lane after a little four day excursion to Tampa, Florida. This was my first trip to Florida so we explored as much of the outdoor environment as possible in those short days.

Beautiful foliage, plants, and flowers abounded everywhere...
I felt like DeSoto and Ponce deLeon setting foot into the Gulf of Mexico for the first time.
These oak trees sure look different than the ones in Virginia. They have shallow roots and limbs can grow to touch the earth.  Love the Spanish Moss...
We visited the Everglades. What's a trip to Florida without an alligator
or two...
Cathy took a kayak trip.
This was such a lovely door handle to one of the shops in Ybor City. Everyone should have one!
Love the pink buildings of Tampa and St. Peterburg. ..
This is one of the beautiful sunsets from our accommodations at Little Harbor Inn...
This was a trip I enjoyed two times-once in going and once returning home to Applejack Lane.

Thanks to Chari @ Happy to Design for hosting this party.

Looks like a fun trip. Such pretty and lush flowers and foliage. Wow, I don't think I want to be that close to alligators. lol Hugs, Marty

It looks like you had a marvelous trip! I hope when you dipped your tootsies in the ocean, you checked for those alligators first!

Isn't it wonderful to travel, and just as grand to get home?

Love the bumble bee door handles. How fun it would be to have that at home.

Joan, I grew up near Tampa and have many relatives that live there. I hope you got to eat some of the fabulous Spanish or Cuban food while in Ybor City.

We had those oaks in Charleston but I like the ones of my native Shenandoah Valley best. At least they change colors and lose their leaves in the fall. One doesn't find fall much in Florida or Charleston, S.C..

Thanks for sharing your lovely photographs.

Best,
Bonnie
