My New Gardening Friend

It's Outdoor Wednesday. My neighbor Frank has an immaculate and beautifully landscaped lawn. While he was out working on Saturday, I visited with him and asked him how he got such a crisp edge around his trees and flower beds. He showed me his secret weapon-a half moon edger. So three days later, I make the journey to Lowe's, and now I have a half moon edger.

Here it is-can you see it? It is the best $23 I have spent on my yard. Well, maybe not the best, but I'm enjoying it for the time being.

Even Mr. Bunny admires it!

Look at the half moon blade. It is just right for slicing into the earth and making a clean ditch with very little effort. That's what I like-very little effort.
This picture shows the ditch this edger will make.
Seven circles done and only ten more to go!
HAPPY GARDENING!

I need one of those edgers. Good luck with your circles. The hostas are pretty.

I never knew what that particular yard implement was for---now I know!! I'm glad my hubby borrows our son's power edger to do ours---otherwise he might have me out in the yard with one of those half-moon things! :)

How awesome that you and your hubby have a Hallmark shop! I live in the KC,MO area--home to Hallmark!! In fact, I will have a post soon showing a sale I attended where many of the vendors were/are Hallmark artsy people! :)

Have a great weekend!! Dana
