Farewell To Wanda And The White Boys

Last night, a full house in the old Lee High Auditorium was really rocking to the farewell concert of the town's legendary band Wanda and the White Boys. Thanks to Ntelos, the old Lee High auditorium has been refurbished so that the town and the non profit ShenanArts theater group have a home to see plays, musicals, and concerts.  It was a great evening to not only to hear this multi talented group, but to visit with many, many old time friends who came out to say goodbye to one of Staunton's jewels.
Here is everybody's favorite band director-Richard Adams...
The band is starting to rev up...
The beautiful Wanda Eaves Taylor...
Richard and Chris Wray add a little jazz...
Mr. Buddy Thomas had his own fan club who chanted, "Buddy, Buddy, Buddy" ...
Mr. W couldn't wait to congratulate Wanda on a great evening of entertainment...
And he got a special hug from his old co-worker...
Thanks for 24 years of great memories!
Couldn't we have another farewell concert from WWB next year?

I never had the pleasure of hearing Wanda and the White Boys but I have certainly heard of this local legend. This band will certainly be missed by the community.

Nice farewell party. I really liked it. Will be hosting a farewell party for my employee at one of corporate events NYC. Will try to do best arrangements for the day as want to make it really best and fun for all attendees.
