Blue Monday at Applejack Lane

Thanks for stopping by Applejack Lane for another Blue Monday. Since I just finished cleaning off the buffet and polished the tea service, things look a little presentable to show our pair of Bristol vases and blue banquet lamp. Actually, they belonged to my mother-in-law, and we are very proud to have them in our home today.

A close up picture of one vase...

and now a picture to show the pair together.

I think this banquet lamp is my favorite one in the house.

Jane, I adore those Bristol glass vases. I love the color and the design. I have a pair that are a turquoise color, and the edge is sort of castleated (I think that's a word, LOL!). When I was little, I had one in my room that was pink, but my sister has that now. Yours really are pretty and to be cherished. It's great to have a matching pair.

Happy Blue Monday...

XO,

Sheila :-)

What lovely piececs you have. I love your banquet lamps! When I was in college, my professor invited the class to her house. She and her husband collected these lamps. They had over 100 displayed in their home, and yours is as stunning as I remember my professor's being. Thanks for stopping by my blog today, and God bless you for teaching for 34 years (especially middle school...YIKES!) You're right, no one outside of school realizes how much work is involved in teaching!

The vases are pretty and the rich color of the birds against the pale blue is just fitting. Oh I can see why the lap is a fave of yours. It is shaped differently and the blue "bubble" looks so dainty.

Happy Blue Monday!
