This is a miniature porcelain plate from the Birds of the World series. Pictured is a Golden Oriole which is the only member of the oriole family native to Europe. Pictured with the oriole is the marsh marigold found in Europe and the Northern Hemisphere.
A card comes with the pin that gives information about the bird and the flower painted by artist Joan Campbell. The porcelain pin is just dear. I thank my BC friends Jan and Chip for sending it to me. I wish you a very Happy New Year!

That is a very lovely gift, indeed! The perfect bit of loveliness from a friend. So glad you received it.
Wishing you a Happy Seasonal Sunday...

Oh what lovely and special gifts. I've never seen such a tiny plate and it is stunning. I know you are thrilled. Hugs, Marty
What a treat! I'm sure that you'll find a special place for this pretty plate.
Joan,
I will be coming back to the P. Moss museum this spring and will definitely stop by your store.
Hope you'll be there, would love to meet you!
Hi Joan,
this is truly a lovely gift. Wish you a lot of fun with it.
Greetings, Johanna
Hi Joan, What a precious little bird plate you received from Canadian friends. Do you have a spot in mind for it to be displayed?
Wanted to say that I applaud you for your organizational endeavor in a previous post. I still haven't gotten my desk organized. Spent too much time on Xmas and the closets, drawers, etc. LOL It's going to be a snowy day today and I have no appointments, so I guess that's what I should do. "should" being the operative word...
:-) Sue
What a lovely gift.
Thanks for being a part of Seasonal Sundays.

What a beautiful pin, Joan.
Hi Joan. Just spent several minutes catching up on your recent posts.
Love the pin you received...and really LOVE that Kindle and cover! Since blogging, my reading of books has taken a nose dive. I have a stack to read, but just don't seem to open them unless I'm stuck at an appointment....then it takes me forever to review, just to figure out what I had read that last time I opened it!
I hope you are having a good New Year.
We got hammered with several inches of snow yesterday afternoon/last night. My DIL had to put our little Grand Boy in the hospital and I picked up the Grand Girl just before the bad weather hit. The little guy was severely dehydrated from some kind of stomach bug...last night he had eaten a bit and smiled and wanted to sleep. The Grand Girl is snoozing away as I type this, but it won't last long! :) She's ready to make snow ice cream.
