Memories of Momma's Snowflakes

Momma's snowflakes have been boxed for twenty-two years.  This year, I decided to find them  and add them to the Christmas tree.  I should have laundered and starched them, but if I had that to do, I probably would not have pulled them out .  So, impulsively, I just put them on the tree. In her later years, Momma enjoyed an all white tree using white balls, birds, clear lights, and her snowflakes.  They bring back such sweet memories of her.

Even Father Kristmas can enjoy a peak at Momma's snowflakes.
Thanks for stopping by Applejack Lane.

The snowflakes are beautiful.

I have a few of these, too, packed away. Some I made and some I bought at craft shows during the
80's. Loved seeing this!

Your snowflakes are just beautiful, I love crocheted items! I have one 3D teddy bear on my tree that my salary said I should not buy about 24 years ago. It is truly one of my favorite ornaments-enjoy:@)

The snowflakes are so pretty and meaningful being that they were your mothers. Did she make them herself? I am such a sucker for nostaglia and knowing the stories behind objects just makes the so much more precious.

Joan, Thank you for sharing your beautiful snowflakes at my party. My mom also loved to do her tree in all white. It's nice to add memories to our decorations. Have a fabulous holiday.

Those snowflakes are incredible. Your mom probably spent hours creating them. I'll bet that seeing them on your tree really gives you a warm and fuzzy feeling. You should use them after Christmas for a January decorations so that you can enjoy them a bit longer.

Love those snowflakes! They were so popular at one time and I had forgotten about them. I see you're a retired teacher. Kuddos! I'm asemi-retired teacher. lol Stayed home with my last child and now I'm subbing. Don't much like being "on call," but the flexibility is nice. Your current job sounds the most fun. How do you not take the whole store home with you?
Yay! I just became your 100th follower! I'd be delighted to have you follow me back. Look forward to reading your blog.
Merry Christmas!
