Silver Dresser Items

Welcome to Applejack Lane.  We have many  sterling silver grooming items that have been passed down to us.  This hodge-podge collection rests on an antique dresser in our bedroom. Not a single item has a match.  I just saw a wonderful matched collection on eBay with a starting bid at almost $1500!  Wow!  I sure wish ours matched!

A hand mirror, hair brush, clothes brush, and tortoise comb with monograms...

The mirror is dated 1899...

A few grooming utensils:  a shoe horn, button hook, cuticle tool, nail file, brush, and crystal jar...

The button hook is great to scratch my back!

These are such beautiful heirloom items. It seems like several of us were thinking about family items this week. Your photos are so big and clear too, I haven't figured out how to do that yet. Everything is wonderful.
Blessings,
Marcia

Hi Joan...

Ohhh...what a beautiful display of silver!!! It's all gorgeous...so very exquisite!!! I love the mirror...it's probably the prettiest that I've ever seen! I guess the thing that I love most about silver is how very ornate the pieces are...I love that! Thank you so much for sharing some of your fabulous pieces with us today for Silver Sunday...what a treat!!! OMG...can you imagine the beginning price of $1500 for a matched silver vanity set? Eeeks!!! I would think that these beautiful pieces of yours are worth some money as well...they are in pristine condition!!!

Warmest winter wishes,
Chari @Happy To Design

What absolutely beautiful pieces you have and the fact they don't match, as you say, doesn't bother me one bit as each one stands on it's own beauty! Have a great SS
