My mother had a pair of oval marble topped tables. My brother took one and I took the other.
We have very few pieces that came from my husband's grandparents. One thing my MIL salvaged was this lamp base. I found someone who could paint a shade, and I had the brass refurbished...
My daughter gave me this porcelain pitcher for a Christmas gift one year. She made it while she was in college. The color goes so well with her great grandparent's lamp...
When my husband was in the army stationed in Germany, his mother asked that he bring home some Hummels. This is one of two that he brought her.. The colors are perfect beside the lamp...

Joan you have some lovely heirlooms. Looking forward to your hankie post in the future. I found a couple of cute hankies today at the thrift store. Thanks for stopping by and leaving me a comment. Blessings, Marla
Such a gorgeous lamp. I know you were thrilled you were able to find someone to paint the top and now it looks just perfect. Your pitcher and the hummel are just gorgoeus too. What precious treasures. Hugs, Marty

Thanks for sharing your table top pieces. It is always so delightful to read about the history behind antiques.
Come by BellaCasa for a visit sometimes.
Yep, that's definitely All in the family. And each piece is a wonderful treasure. I thought the pitcher that your daughter made was a piece of McCoy - it's lovely.
Thanks so much for dropping by this morning, I always enjoy our visits.

Love your antiques. Especially the lamp and the Hummel figurine.
I love that lamp and how wonderful that you could refurbish it and have it as a treasure in your home. I had a friend that collected Hummels and their little cheeks always fascinated me, love little children. Thank you for sharing such wonderful treasures, Kathysue
So cute!
Joan, I am a Joan too. I love hurricane lamps and I couldn't tell that was a new shade. Pretty shade! Come visit my site, I am having a giveaway. Thanks for sharing!
Your tabletop is lovely. The lamp is fantastic and the Hummel of course is precious!
I love the pitcher the best. Love the color. Thanks for sharing your vignette.
Hi Joan, I agree, I just love things that have meaning! I collect antiques too and I just can't seem to get enough. I've found so many of my treasures on Craig's List. So much better than overpriced antique stores.
