Welcome to Applejack Lane on this Outdoor Wednesday. Today, we will take a little trip around our town to the...
which was once Thomas Jefferson Grammar School...
and in front of the library, we have a metal sculpture of a book created by local artist Willie Ferguson...
Read any good books lately?
Thanks for visiting Applejack Lane. Now check in with Susan at a A Southern Daydreamer for more Outdoor Wednesday features.

Thanks for the tour of the library and grounds. The building itself reminds me of an elementary school in my old neighborhood.
What a great post. I want to thank you for your very kind words to me. I appreciate your prayers. Blessings to you, Martha
What great pictures. I particularly enjoyed the scuplture of the book. I hope you are having a wonderful Outdoor Wednesday.
I wonder what story is in that giant book??? I love to read, and I would have to think that it's something wonderful.
Happy OW to you...
XO,
Sheila :-)
I love these sculptures around Staunton. Now I know who made them! I don't think I've ever seen the library. It's too bad that schools now aren't built to look attractive like this one.
Beautiful building! As a "bookworm" this post really spoke to me! I wish I had some reading suggestions! I have only been reading textbooks lately!
What a beautiful library. I'm so happy that they repurposed this beautiful old school, and how perfect that it's now a library. I love the sculpture. Great post, I love libraries and bookstores. Kathy
What a beautiful library! I love the book sculpture.
Thank you for sharing it with us!

Neat post, I love that sculpture and I love reading too. I am reading the Sookie Stackhouse
southern vampire series and I just
finished a new Nicholas Sparks book that I really liked too. You have a beautiful library. Ours are all modern looking.
What a great web log. I spend hours on the net reading blogs, about tons of various subjects. I have to first of all give praise to whoever created your theme and second of all to you for writing what i can only describe as an fabulous article. I honestly believe there is a skill to writing articles that only very few posses and honestly you got it. The combining of demonstrative and upper-class content is by all odds super rare with the astronomic amount of blogs on the cyberspace.
